John Crimmins (Founder & Chief Executive Officer)
Mr Crimmins is a Trinity College trained Psychotherapist & is accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling & Therapy. John has extensive experience in many areas of psychotherapy. He has been seeing clients in his private practice at the Kildare Street Clinic since 1999. He has completed specialist training in Eating Disorder Treatment at the Maudsley Hospital Eating Disorder Unit in London.
He was Senior Manager in the Merchants Quay Drug Project for 10 years. John's Post Graduate training is in 'The Psychodynamics of Groups & Organisations' . He has also trained in Group Dynamics with the A.K. Rice Institute, Washington, USA.
John has been involved in Group work for the past twelve years. He has consulted to teams in large organisations, managed multidisciplinary teams in clinical settings & facilitated a broad range of therapeutic Groupwork. He is presently running therapy groups for the treatment of Anorexia & Bulimia at the Kildare Street Clinic of which he is Director & Founder. He is also Director & Founder of the Addiction Training Institute.

Damian is a Registered (Senior) Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and EAP Consultant with twenty four years experience in the EAP field working with the Irish government and received the ‘Minister’s Award’ for his contribution to innovative health and safety projects at work.
He holds the following qualifications:

- He also holds certifications in Addiction Studies, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy and Counselling Skill.
He has completed a research project for the Public Appointments Service and a professional doctorate in the area of occupational psychology through a European study into EAP/Counselling outcomes and effectiveness.
His particular areas of interest include the development of EAPs, Continuing Professional Development, Research, Ethics, Recruitment, Selection and Assessment, Life and Business Coaching, Personality Profiling, Work-Life Balance and CISM.
He is a founder member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA-Ireland).
He has also served as Cathaoirleach (National Chairperson) of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and on a number of its committees. He is Irish representative with the Employee Assistance European Forum and a member of the research task force and an Associate Fellow and Registered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
He also runs a private practice (Phoenix Consultants) where he provides a range of one-to-one and organisational services and has conducted assessments for companies such as Sideline Productions, TV3 and the legal profession. (www.phoenixcentre.ie)
